Anyone order parts from http://www.carpartswholesale.com? I need a new bumper and hood (see story below), and am wondering how these compare to OEM.

- Front bumper unpainted - $ 80.95
or
- Front bumper primed - $102.95

- Hood: - $235.95
or
- Hood: - $259.95 Notes: CAPA Certified Part

Any other suggestions of places to look? A car-part.com search turned up used bumpers for ~250 and hoods for $200.


The whole damn car needs to be repainted due to the clear-coat flaking problem, but I sure as hell can't afford to do that now.

(I had a hit and run accident in my car saturday. I had started moving on the green, but didn't see the guy blowing through the intersection till too late. Hit the brakes and came to a stop, but was about two inches too long as he tagged the front of my car. His tires scuffed up the front of the bumper, and some part of his truck dented in an area about 10" by 6" on the hood. He did pull over to inspect the damage on his Tacoma, but before I got a chance to talk to him he got back in his truck and took off! Fooker. I never got his license plate, either. I did file a police report, but am probably not going to go through insurance cos I don't want my rates to go up.)

I have noticed most non OEM parts are a bit "thinner" or atleast they feel that way. The front im using now is pretty damn good. Only down side is that it doesnt have the Mitsu try diamond indents.

I too had a similar incident. Some tard lady in a mini van blew the light and managed to skin my car and rip the front off.

Theres a local supply store near the paint shops here. The fron is like 80-100 cant remember. And the hood is similar. I can swing by and get some quotes? if you like. As for the paint and primer. I would get that done at a local shop or by myself If I were you. Since the bumper needs to be flexible, so does that paint. A lot of them ignore or forget that and some months later you see the hairline cracks.
