So today, I had the moon roof open. I decide to shut it. It goes all the way forward, and then it goes down. But then it doesn't go all the way down. The end part is still 1-2 inches up. I tried pressing the close button and shutting it, it won't work. I tried pushing the tabs in, and it won't work. It opens and closes perfectly, but it doesn't come down all the way.

Does anyone know what this might be?

And does anyone know the Torx size on the moonroof bolts?

Thanks

-Tahleel

if you pull the little cover off right behind the switch you can close it the rest of the way manually until you get it figured out.

whats up man your problem has to lie in you motor or switch i had a problem with my moonroof when i bought my car it wouldnt close all the way i took it to the crappy dealer and they tryed charging me 600 dollars for a new setup .. i purchased the moonroof track and motor for 150 bucks I switched everything out and I still had a little problem with the switch.. what i would suggest doing is to buy a new switch and if it still doesnt work but the whole setup at a junkyard or ebay i hope this helps u out man !! goodluck

by the way its not hard to take the moonroof out just get someone to help you cause its pretty heavy .. but if you change the switch first you have to remove the headliner which is pretty basic and easy!

FYI... not sure if anyone knows this or not, but I found out the hard way, the sunroof assemblies from avengers/sebrings are NOT the same as ours. I picked one up cheap from the junkyard, the length and width of the glass is the same, but I found that the contour of the glass is slightly different than ours, it's flater . emoji anyway, good luck man.

the contour of the glass is flatter??????????? no shit. I ordered and recieved a new sunroof for an eclipse and it does not fit the car right. I have a huge bulge in the roof line on the back of the sunroof. They must have sent me one for an avenger. Thanks for posting that, I am going to have to call the dealership on monday.

I bought a new one cause my old one rusted through completly and my interior got soaked. Now the new one does not sit right.
