#74092, "GS power sunroof instal on an RS??"

iight, i picked up a gs power sunroof, my question is can i just basically plug it in and it work in my RS? I have the glass motor switch etc.

How hard would it be to cut a hole in the roof of my car and through this bitch in? My dad is pretty good with the sawsall emoji

B/c i am goign to be selling this car and i dont want to have to pay 100 bucks for someone to cut a hole in my roof the same way i could do it.

hmmmm it only pops up for me. Would it make a difference since it was just sitting on the ground that it did not slide back? Thanks

Hit the open button again after the glass pops up. It should slide back on the rails.

hmm. noone answered his question though, how hard is it? and how much would it cost to have someone install the same kind of pop up and slide(out) sliding sunroof? i want one.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.
If not. Go here: here

If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.

Im not sure if it will work. When i took mine out the roof its not exactly a hole cut in the roof. its pressed in. meaning theres metal that goes down where the hole is and wraps around. the sunroof mechanism mounts to that. if you just cut a hole in the roof there will be no where to mount the sunroof. I could be wrong cause it was over a year ago i had to remove my sunroof to fix it.

It should be easy, the main thing you should worry about, are leaks and you also need to run drain hoses just like the factory has it.
goodluck

i checked out a haynes manual and looks like theres something above the headliner that holds it in place, so it is a hole, but it will definitly take some fabbing to get it right. I also have a moonroof coming. can anyone give me some measurements on theres? front-back side-side? thanks
