#74013, "Poll question: How far should I lower my car?"
Jun-21-04 12:21 PM by FlyinEsi

Here is the picture, if you haven't seen it. How far should I lower on some 18s?

I'm leaning on 2.5 or 3.0

I should also include, this is on a 235/40/18 tire, keep that in mind with your vote, if a 3" drop just is not possible

Poll result (11 votes)
< 1.5" (0 votes)Vote
1.5" (3 votes)Vote
2.0" (7 votes)Vote
2.5" (0 votes)Vote
3.0" (1 votes)Vote
> 3.0"+ Specify (0 votes)Vote

If you go from 3" back up to 2" do you have to get an alignment job all over again? Or do you just do it yourself with coilovers?

3" gets undrivable and you start breaking shit.

Prokits and tokicos is a nice ride, not too low, and looks great.

Yeah get prokits and tokicos. You've got a performance car there dude. Don't fuck up your ride by slamming it too low. And I wouldn't even get 18's, gonna slow your car down man emoji

Exactly, you have a performance car. Bad suspension can really slow you down. I'd suggest going with REAL performance springs, not the Prokits. Prokits are only about 50 lbs more than stock. Get some GC coilovers or something with stiffer spring rates.

I've already got the rims taken care of. 18s, sorry. I've got the suspension taken care of, and don't worry, I'm not going with a spring/strut combo, I'm going with the real adjustable height/damper coilover system. Just wondering what everyone thought would look good. I think 2" sounds good too, and with a 235 tire, I might be pushing my luck to go that far.

I voted 2 due to mine is 2.5 and i had massive tire wear. now im still at 2.5 with ingalls front and rear camber and tire wear is minimal. so if u plan on a camber kit. go 2.5 emoji

been awhile.
