I'd pay the money to have it down honestly.. You are already gonna pay a shit load for paint and clear coat anyway.. Mid as well have it put on the correct way. I would'nt trust myself to do it correctly, and I'd want my car to turn out good and not lookin like total shit with run marks.

Better be ready to shell out some money for a compressor, and a good paint gun if you want it to look good. That is assuming you have the skills too.

its not that simple to paint a car ive been doing it for two years and still fu-k up alot i mean to get a good shine you need to lay your base coat wet sand it then lay a clear wet sand that then another coat of clear wet sand and buff like hell assuming youre useing a single stage paint and not using pearls or flakes ect just easier to have it done at body shop my fathers been painting for 30 years and still learning new tricks and tips
