#72175, "interior blue lights turning yellow"

i have gotten blue interior lights for the dome light. I got it from APC and from Eurolight and the light on the driver's side always stays blue. The 1 on the passanger side stay blue for ~ 1 week then it turns to yellow. Is this a problem with the bulb or the connection in the dome? Any idea how to fix?

Please don't tell me to put led's in there. I obviously know this. I will do that, only as a last resort. I like the light these bulbs give out (when still blue).

Thanks,
Eric

It's a problem with using standar lights dude. You can't stop it, it will happen to all of them. I hate to tell you but the ONLY thing you can do is put in LED's...which is not what you wanted to hear, but is the truth.

Why make a post so people can tell you what you don't want to hear? You answered your on question basically and if you don't want that answer, all you can do is change the question. YOu seem like a smart guy so I am certain you will figure it out.....

LED's

i have had them for over a year. they're like $5 each... they're blue-er than any crappy painted incadescant with condom could every hope to be. they draw less power and won't burn your fingers.

www.autolumination.com

yes i've had incadescants before. they suck.

depends on if you've got a sunroof or not. just measure how long the bulbs are. autolumination has them listed by bulb# and by length for the dome lights. i don't have a sunroof and i think mine were either the 31 or 36mm..

well, i gave up on the bulbs. I went to that www.autolumination.com site and ordered some right away. I thought i would have to rig up my own led's in there and that's y i was so hesitate to put leds in there. I hope i have better luck with the leds. Thx for the site, MCubed45! I have them in now and it looks sweet.

Next step is to change over my guages and hvac to blue.
