The deck lid is getting too heavy and won't even stay open anymore. Where can I get some aftermarket hydraulic assemblies? I remember this was asked once but a definitive answer was never given.

Thanks for the quick response. They're a little expensive though. Conicelli has two different kinds, one for spoiler ($26 each) and one without spoiler ($20 each). Not sure what the difference is, maybe the spoiler one supports more weight or something.

I was wondering if maybe I could find replacement struts at Autozone or something.

Is the hatch supposed to go up by itself with new struts? That'd be cool.

my stock probably original struts were "broken" ... Until I shaved the wing! Now they work perfectly. Heh. I would buy the "winged" struts if you have a choice.

It shows up $14.94 each for me, or am I looking at the wrong part??? If it's $14.94 each I am getting them for sure since my hatch feels like it weights 500lbs.

I believe that's for the convertible models with a trunk. Here are the hatch struts:

Theres your problem....pull that damn wang!

Seriously the spoiler struts do support just a tiny bit more weight. go through concelli and know your getting the right stuff or i can call the dealer and see what my cost is? I parts for resale amount. its the price a shop pays to order parts from the dealer.
