Hey All. I just bought a 1999 Eclipse Spyder. It came w/ the stock low spoiler and I would LOVE to get the high-rise one put on....So I guess my question is how easy is this to do since the spoilers mount in different spots? I have a high-rise spoiler(the same type I want) on my old car(an Eagle Talon) and from looking at them it looks a little difficult since the holes would be in different spots etc. Also if anybody has a stock RED high rise spoiler they would like to sell please let me know....bmd1011@hotmail.com

okay there have been plenty of posts about this. Pushin420a just had a post on it like a week ago. Go buy some fusor, go buy some sheets of metal, and bondo, that's the easiest way to do it. If you want more detail SEARCH.

Welcome n00b.

You'll have to take it to a body shop so they'll cover up the old holes and repaint the rear end. The proper way to cover up the holes is welding, not fiberglassing or bondoing. It should cost anywhere from $300-$600 or so. Then you can drill new holes and bolt it in.

we did my brother's my way, or Lee's way and it came out just fine. YOu can't even tell where the wholes were

Yeah, when I took off the stock 3-peice spoiler, and the plastic panels, you can kinda see holes in the metal panel that allows you to mount a turbo spoiler on there. Good luck; the turbo spoiler is the best show mod done to my car.
