#71661, "Difficulty of Short Shifter Install?"

Hey what's up everyone. I was just wondering how hard it is to install a short shifter, probably either B&M or OBX. Please keep in mind that I don't have any experience in that kind of install at all. I just want to find out if I should try and do it myself or pay someone to do it for me. I don't want to mess anything up. Also, what tools are needed to do the install? Thanks in advance.

if you can take out 2 screws for the side panel,a bolt and a coter pin, you can install a short shifter. i dont see how you could fuck that up. its roughly as hard a an oil or tire change.

Agreed, difficult isn't a word I would use. Get the B&M, have the tools listed on the directions, take your time and install some bushings while you're at it (Energy Suspension is what I chose, only $15 more and it really does make a difference).

Have fun, it'll really make a difference.

Ah, I was way off. I got them from www.optauto.com and they were $8.00. Either way, it's cheap and worth it emoji

a retarded squirl with a migrane headache could do this install! emoji
skip the Energy bushings and spend the money on the Symbroski kit from MachV. (there metal not plastic)

then make sure you have a towel handy the first time you shift! emoji
