What am I supposed to do with this thing? Is it a cover that goes over a metal piece or what? I searched and people say to cut off the top with a hacksaw or something but I'd rather put a boot on it or something. Can I take off the entire cover, and the e-brake will still work fine? (ie nothing is dependant on the plastic?)
