Probably because when you scrape your front bumper on something...the places where it's molded are going to crack. You are less likely to scrape your sideskirts and rear bumper. That's just a guess though.

+ that would just plain suck to not be able to remove teh bumper...i always pull mine now just to work on the car...headlights etc.......5 + 2 bolts are easier than 10...lol
