anyone know a good place to get hoods from?? Not looking for carbon fiber I want one that is paintable. TIA

If your going for a lightweight hood and wanna paint it, I would suggest getting a fiberglass hood, which are lighter than carbon fiber. Unfortunately I don't know where to buy them off hand...search on here.

You can paint Carbon Fiber... sure the fiberglass may be a LITTLE lighter... but the carbon fiber will be much much stronger. I would go Carbon Fiber and paint it.

from my experience fiber glass parts are heavier than CF. A freind of mine got a fiberglass hood for his svt focus and its HEAVY. Another friend had some fiberglass fenders for his crx, they were HEAVY

well thanks guys.....I am kinda looking for something like a aerogear predator or something like that. I have a stock hood already. Also could you paint carbon fiber??? I personally dont like the whole carbon fiber look for my car but some of the hoods have the designs I like. Let me know. TIA

I got a fiberglass hood. I bought it off ebay from a guy who makes them in Tenn. Has a big shop there. The hoods pretty good, and you can make it functional, just get hood pins to keep it down.Heres a picture of it on my car.
