Well ive been primering and sanding my butt off, there has got to be an easier way. Could i use some glazing/spot putty and then sand that? Any suggestions i am open for! woot!

Under the knife in the body shop. When it comes back:

Full molded drift body kit, z3 fenders, nsx side vents molded into the quarter panels, lambo doors, shaved door handles, shaved antenna, invader c/f hood, c/f taillights, v-line wing from a new eclipse, c/f projector headlights with halos, c/f mirrors, black graphics, 19" rims, lowered 1.5", full fiberglassed interior, two visor tv's, in-dash tv, tv in the passenger side airbag, flip down tv in the trunk, custom fiberglassed box, 2 jl12w7's with two JL 1000x1 amps, all painted lambo orange.

have you tried some liquid fiberglass? it may take a little getting use to but it is really good to use. that is what most custom interiors are done with. just mix it spread it sand and paint it.

i thought that the fiberglass was just used, any details on applying the gelcoat? id like to give it a try.

get an orbital sander for ur compressor....they kick ass....u'll be done in no time......

I am using fiberglass resin.... It takes some time but when it comes out it is like the fiberglass you see in show cars..... I am finishing up the turbo and then I will finish the int. I started with the back half and stoped to finish the kit.... I will post up pics when I finish and paint it....

So my best bet would be to use fiberglass resin? I have some of that here, a gallon of it. Do i just spread it over the plastic with a brush or what?

clean the panels with alcohol (found in paint shops) buy some of the sponge brushes (in sears) mix the resin and hardner and then apply very evenly and lightly... other wise you will be sanding the shit out of it to smooth it.... make sure it is mixed properly other wise it will not dry....

I better get points for this one because it's ultra trick. Mix some bondo and fiberglass resin up until it looks kind of like a thin chocolate milkshake. Then add in the fiberglass hardener(don't use any bondo hardener). Pour this over the piece you're working on. It self levels, and ends up really smooth. There will probably be a couple of air bubbles that you'll have to fill with spot putty, and a little sanding. It sands REALLY easy, so be careful not to burn it. I did my vent gauge pod like this, and it came out really nice. I posted pics in here a while back. of it. The greyish stuff is this coating. It makes life a LOT easier.

Lets just say this... I'm over 100whp and soon to cross 200whp. Thanx 2GNT! Now if I could only learn to prove it.

i'm gonna try the resin/bondo idea of yours once i can get some more resin. my interior looks like BIG SHIT. looks so bad i wish it was stock again ehhh

points for your bondo/fiberglass idea! Imma try it, can you put it on with a brush or do you HAVE to pour it over it?

It won't brush on, it's kind of a weird consistency. I learned it from a buddy of mine that does custom installs. That's how they finish all of their glass work. It's like some sort of industry secret or something.
