Okay, if you just install the kit with the solenoids and such, do you really need the popper? yes, the door won't swing out, but all I need is it to unlatch and move out like an inch (I think the stock latch pops it out like an inch already)
Can I install the solenoids and setup after the door handles are already shaved? I will have to go in through the trunk for a couple days, but who care I live in the ghetto right now it's normal here.
edit:and one more question. I don't have any power door options on my car from the factory. I don't need them right when I use spal or autoloc? I'm thinking they will get the power from somewhere else (dunno where that is yet). and I am supposing that I don't need to worry about the door locks anymore - so just disconnect them right?
sorry for the noob talk <-I'm the only one that uses that smiley IMO

No you don't need the poppers. I put in the autoloc one i think? I bought the poppers but didn't need to install them. The doors normally pop out a couple inches anywayz. like whenever you pull the handle. These things are a pain to install. It took me a few hours. You don't need power locks or anything. You gotta wire up the solinoids from the door to a little box inside the car. It's not that complicated to wire it all up. It's just the whole putting in he solinoids. Have fun!!!!

Thanks red. Can you help me out with the power supply wire - I downloaded the instruction for autoloc but I don't know where to splice to get the power. Is there a color coded wire somewhere in the dash? TIA

I believe i just wired the whole thing to my cigarette lighter thingy. I never use it anyways and I dont think it will trip the fuse anyways. but just wire the positive to one side and the negative to the other.

I made a special tool to get wires through that boot. It's Mitsubishi "special part" number MB66669696969420 and is sourced from the Acme Wire Coat Hanger company. Just bend an eyelet in it, and poke it through. The boot dumps it into the car next to the dash, and there is a paper (!) piece in the way to reaching it. Just poke through that piece of paper and grab the wire/coathanger.
