#70428, "Poll question: What to do...?"

I'm not really sure to do here. Through all the wing-bashing lately i've been standing strong by my park bench but i dunno...might be time for a change. My car didn't originally come with any spoiler so I just threw that on. My only concern would be filling the holes...anyone know how much that would cost because i have no clue..tia for the opinions...heres a pic where you can't really see it good but you get the idea...

loose the wing, fill holes. a DSM as good looking as yours will never be "mean" without doing that IMO. i think my influnce comes from the 90-95 300zs, lol.

I'd say go wingless for now. A turbo wing won't look too good on an otherwise stock 95-96 RS.

Ok well ive pretty much decided to take off the wing. My only problem now is filling the holes temporarily because i don't think I can have em filled anytime soon. Im thinking about putting something in there to fill up the holes but not look too out of place, sorta like a some kind of rubber stopper or something. Any suggestions?

Well this post is officially turning into a rant about how much I hate myself from 3 years ago at age 15. Actually I cant fault myself too much because wings were actually somewhat unique back then. Anyways...I go to take the bench off...1st bolt off no problem...2nd bolt no problem...3rd..wow this is goin quicker than i thought...4th..BAM stop...Why is the allenhead just spinning and nothings turnin? I take a look in...STRIPPED...wtf?!? So i stand there for about 5 minutes contemplating how to go about the situation and decide that maybe if i take the blades off the stands i might be able to maneuver it better. So i do that, does it do any good? Nope. I play around w/ the bolt a little more but to no avail. I consider cutting the bolt but realize i have no room to get any type of blade in. Son of a bitch. Looks like the bench is staying. Now not only do i have to put those other 3 bolts back in which is a bitch by myself, but i also have to put the Erector set back together too. Awesome. Thank god i'm selling my car soon. Some 15 year old will think it's cool like i used to. At least i know im not a ricer at heart anymore, too bad my car will never show it. Oh well...A for effort i suppose...damnit.. emoji

sometimes you can get those bolts out by simply using friction on the outer edge. they shoudlnt be torqued down too much, so try wrapping a rubber band around the bolt head tightly, and then using a set of pliers over that to loosen it (for leverage). if youve got a variety of close-ended wrenches, you could also try finding one that fits snuggly over the bolthead/friction producer combo. the ridges on the inside of the wrench will catch the tightly-wound rubberband and give you enough torque to remove it. just an idea. make sure you put a few towels/etc. areound the area in case you slip...dont want to mar up the paint.

You can also drill the bolt out. Or since it an allenhead, take a chisel and make a slot for a flathead screwdriver to fit in. You can get the bolt out.

Oh, and get some little green vinyl circles to help hide the holes if you can get them filled and painted right away.
