not a cheap thing to do.
there are no kits for that.
to do the conversion you'd need

a set of sylvia headlights
customize BOTH front fenders
customize the Front Bumper
Customize the support brackets for headlights (on radiator support)
Alot of Fiberglass and Bondo I believe
and Paint for 2 fenders and a Bumper.

you'll get f@#$@ in front end colision
Unless if you make a mold outof the front bumper and both fenders. Otherwise do it all over again.

Those Silvia headlights are 1000 if you can find a good deal, otherwise normally 1400. Then you have to customize the bumper, fenders, and hood. This would cost at least 1000 dollars in labor alone. Plus the cost of getting fiberglass fenders and a fiberglass hood (preferably since its easier to work with), plus a body kit front bumper. You're looking at a 3500+ dollar job right there. It looks really mean, if you have the money for it...240 headlights also look really good on our cars (the shop was trying to get me to do that conversion a while back...)

3500+? hahah.. oh hell no!! Try half that. I got hooked up with those lights for 800 and it costs 500 for a conversion plus paint. Wait til my car is finished..

LAST EDITED ON 20-Jul-01 AT 09:30 PM (PST)

Cool, I think you got some good hookups for everything, but it really depends on where you get it done... 20/20 charges 3000+ for a full paint job now (it was $2000 a while ago), and everyone keeps going there because they painted LJ's car and a bunch of others. You can get a full paint job for half that at some body shops, and the quality might be the same, so it really depends on where you get your work done...JT which did that conversion in the picture also charges a grip for conversions since that's what they mainly do there. Prices in LA at least have gone up over the past couple years...

But my estimate for it goes like this:
silvia headlights = 800 to 1100
Fiberglass hood = 300 to 400
Fiberglass fenders = 175 to 250
Bumper = 200 to 350
Paint fenders, hood, bumper = 300 to 700
Labor for conversion = 500 to 1200

Using the low estimates, it would be $2275.
Using the high estimates, it would be $5100

I think most people would end up paying something in the middle, so around $3500 (again depending on where it gets done). I just wanted to let people know that conversions "can" get quite costly, although there are other ways to save money like not getting fiberglass parts etc, so ya, it can be as low as $1500 depending on how you do it...
