Hey Guys,

In my effort to stop the new car bug (been drooling over the '05 Mustang GT) I am convinced if I throw money into the appearance of my car, I can delay the inevitable... Buying another car and having a car payment again...

I have always been a fan of the CF hoods, but have heard horror stories about Fit and finish, not to mention the cost.

I was wondering who has had experience with this cosmetic change and who they buy from and avoid under all costs... Also include what you paid including shipping if not too much to ask... This way I can get a comparo and general idea of cost...

Thanks in advance...

Don

btw, does anyone have a set of upgraded injectors they want to sell?

I have the VIS OEM hood also, EXCELLENT fitment. I think one of the better retail vendors are www.trixracing.com It used to be improvmotorsports.com for the OEM CF hood but I dont know whta the hell happened to them. Give trix a shot, shippin usually runs 125 and up. See my sig for pics

Whichever type/brand you go with GET MAFUGGIN HOOD PINS!!!11!!

I went through two windshields and now am proud to garnish sparco pins and not worry about my hood flying up.

I don't have the OEM but I got the VIS Invader CF hood and the fitment and cosmetics are perfect. Everyone I know who has a VIS hood has not had a problem with it. But yes...we cannot express enough the importance of getting hood pins installed. I payed a total of $550 shipped for my hood.

I used to love my VIS carbon fiber hood until this winter when the hood would get hot and then get cold and then it started to crack.
