Sup guys.
I did alot of performance mod on my eclipse lately.
So now, I will move on to the look like halo projectors, HID, skirt, spoiler, and repaint entire car ...

I been always wondering and questioning about this, so I will ask today and make sure. I did many search, but not with this SPECIFIC question.

For the aftermarket side skirt I get, are they directly bolt on? like clip on?? or I have to glue, mold, or etc?

You know what I am saying? like the gauges pillar, they requires for drilling holes, and screws. SO for the side skirts do they require any of that? or they use metal clips and just pop itself in like the stock?

THanks all.
Gil

you could put them on with 2 sided tape...but i HIGHLY advise against that...you could put them on with clips IF you have stock side skirts and can get the clips to match up...Otherwise you gotta make some holes for screws.

Screws will stay on better and keep the skirts closer to the body IMO...Jus hope you get a pair that fits decent.

ok Buck, I am not really sure about it.
WHen the aftermarket side skirt comes, do they come with the part where I can put the metal clip into? or I have to add that in myself?

When you say using Screws, then I will see the screws outside the car...?

you said the 2 sided tape, is that mean the aftermarket skirt are just smooth on both side with nothing coming out for clip in?

Thanks, and sorry for too much questions.
Gil

EDIT* I almost forgot.
Mine is a GS as seen below in the SIG. SO it already has a side skirt. so will the aftermarket side skirt I get will just pop right in? Thanks.

Aftermarket sides don't come with clips, and the job of putting them on yours would be so incredibly painstaking i would highly advise against it

Two sided tape could work...but i would only use that on areas that you might have to touch up and stick to the body...such as a high Blitz skirt...the higher part near the rear quarter panel.

Screws are gonna be where its at, and the stockers are not held in by any screws...I would say to put all teh screws along the bottom so they are out of view and still accessable...Also put one or two in the front and rear fender wells where the skirt wraps around your car.

Use screws...they are a more permanent attatchment and will save you alot of time, money, and aggrivation.

Hope i was of some help...don't take my words as the gospel IMO. I am no expert emoji

It's great enough...
THanks.

So the only way I do is use double side tapes on the front of the door, and screws at the bottom and wheel wells.

THanks!

hmmm....lets see....

I would only use teh tape on parts that would face you while looking at the side of the car....ie the highest part on a high blitz skirt...Its more there as a easy way to fix something that sticks out a lil bit....Use screws to hold it on...use tape to fix lil things here n there...remembering, of course, that tape WILL wear out over time.

I wouldnt use any double sided tape...I never like to reply on that stuff.

Use screws, and screw into the fenderwells where the skirt wraps around. ou cant see the screws from outside the car and it'll fit tight.

Also...a trick.

If your fiberglass isnt flush againt your car...when it is all installed.. You can use a heat gun and heat it up and slowly bend it a tad so it will sit flush...

Instead of double sided tape go to your local "Wally world" and get a "as seen on tv" ding king. The black glue in the kit holds like a B*tch and doesn't hurt your paint at all if you decied to remove the skirts later, but thats only for areas that aren't flush. Use the screws to secure it!!

I just got some stock 97 skirts and Iam putting them on my 95. Do I have to drill hole to pop them on, or should I just douple sided tape? If this is answered just point me the way, I searched but no help. Thanks
