#69575, "Should I go with a CF hood?"

Take a look at my sig, and tell me if a CF hood would be too ricey on my car or not. I am seriously leaning twards it, since I need a new hood and the insurance will be paying for it anyway.

Also, I don't think I've ever seen a write up on how to install one. Is it as simple as bolting up to the stock hindges? Thanks everyone

get a cf hood but be sure to get some hood pins when you do. and i doubt a hood is that hard to install. i installed one on a crx once and it took two of us no more than five minutes.

CF rice ? I dont think so.

EDIT: Yes I think CF is rice but not a oem Cf hood .Some people just take the carbon fiber thing to far. They dont use it for what it was ment for. Then again I guess some people just like the way it looks emoji

Yeah get a cf hood. Installation is really simple. BUT I had a little problem putting it on. One of the holes on the hinge didn't match the hood. So all I did was filed one hole on the hinge and that's it. I had a VIS oem hood. So if shit like that doesn't happen, you set!!

YES get some hood pins. I think that took the most time. I was scared to drill holes in my brand new hood lol. But be patient and it will work!
Good luck! emoji

Carbon Fiber is sexy...period...Do it...do it.

GET MAFUGGIN HOODPINS!!!11!! I went through two windshields, and i now have hoodpins...PIA to install, but you could pay a shop like $40 to do it emoji

Install on teh hood is no prob...Look up in teh corners of the hood closest to the windshield...You will see 2 bolts on each side...take em out and replace the hood...Easy as that. emoji

Thanks everyone, like I said, I was pretty set on the idea anyway. I just wanted to purge the last doubts I had before I decided.

Just one other question, any suggestions on what hood pins to get?

ford racing pins:

pretty sure nopi sells them, but dont hold me to it. a little pricey though, but worth it IMO.
