Spokes are too thin imo. You'd need some nice big brakes to fill in the gap (not rusty stock calipers/rotors).

Those rims would force me to do the GSX, 4 wheel disc brake upgrade I been planning for a while..I'll at least paint my calipers and get some slotted rotors while I'm at it, until I can afford better ones...

BTW, found those wheels for only $376 here:

http://www.e-chromewheels.com/cgi-bin/shopper.cgi?PREADD=ACTION&key=Special102

I hightly doubt they only weight 11 lbs as Volk racing wheels weight around that and cost nearly 3k.

if you were telling me to get 'em AFTER big brakes...that's not really possible...the rims I have, have an odd spoke shape, and would rub the caliper...not to mention I'll probably be selling them to buy the new ones...

as far as the weight...it's EXCELLENT if they are that light....if not, i'm sure they're lighter than most...that's apparent in the design...

not exactly...the R-1s have thinner spokes, and much smaller center section...
