I just got a hold of some GST door skins with the stock power window switches/ harness. Right now I have a Colibri AFtermarket kit on my RS. It has illuminated switches. There are 4 wires going to the passenger switch and the driver's switch. I know there is ground, power, motor voltage, but what might the other one be. I looked at the stock switches diagram in the manual and it's pretty confusing. Can somebody who's done this help me out, thanks.

I may be wrong but I believe you have 2 wires that go to the motor to tell it which direction to turn the motor. Your power comes into the switch then when you push "down" it sends signal through the down wire and the motor turns....let's say left. Then when you push the "up" it sends signal through the up wire and the motor turns the opposite way.

Since there's no circuitry involved in those switches it must run off a direct current application which would answer why you have 4 wires. How many wires are on your drive motor assembly?

ok, i got my door, wiring off a 99 gst spyder. dunno if all cars w/ power windows are the same.i also have the spal kit.

first, i think there are 2 red wires that go into the drivers door for the spal kit. connect those two together. then for the drivers door.

Door-----------------Spal
-------------------------
Blue-----------------Red--------power for up/down
Black----------------Brown------ground
Green/Red Stripe-----Black (window Actuator) neg
Green/Black Stripe---Red (window Actuator) - pos

i forgot what colors goto the green wire and black wire for the spal kit to the pass. side window from the drivers side.

Passenger Side
------------
Door-------------------Spal
----------------------------
Blue/Black Stripe------Red
Brown/Yellow Stripe----Black
Green/Yellow Stripe----Green
Green/Red Stripe-------Red (window actuator) - pos
Green/Black Stripe-----Black (window actuator) neg

now, i dont have my car here right now. but if you have any questions feel free to ask.
