i just finished removing my graphics..and what do you know, the paint on the door completely PEELED OFF. WTF!!?!! The car was painted over a year ago and i guess the fucker that did it used a very cheap paint. It was covered under insurance and i figured since my insurance company reccomended him that he would do a good job. Well now i have a 6x6 square of peeled paint! I dont have the money for a paint job now or anytime soon, and my only option is to spend 100 bucks on new graphics..i swear im damned if i do and im damned if i dont!!!
So, in light of my situation i screwed around with a few ideas and im going to go with teh same decals, but with a black outline and a few inches bigger each way..see white with a black outline..its all i can think of right now

I feel your pain. The fuckers who removed, filled, and painted the holes left by the three peice spoiler, did a horrible job. The paint is peeling . AND I paid 800 for that!!!.

i dont need a smart ass comment CK, the fucking clear coat did not come off, the cheap ass paint that was put on came off. And to add to that..it didnt fade very much in the first place and the rest of the "clear" coat is perfect

well i did get an estimate on painting my fenders, doors, mirrors, and rear quarter panels along with the center tail light peice, he quoted me 600 bucks including paint. He said he uses ppg paint and that its good quality. Is this a good deal?

I'm paying $400 to shave and repaint my hatch... Supposedly its a bit of a discount... $110 just for door handles and mirrors... He said another $300 just to bondo and repaint my damaged passenger quarter... based on that I'd say you're getting a good deal!

the more you get painted, the cheaper it will be to an extent. most body shops have a specific minimum amount of paint you must buy, so painting a whole door may be roughly the same cost as your side mirrors. just a thought.

Have you tried contacting your insurance company or the place that painted it? Bitch first A LOT see what happens, then decide.

ok first of all its not always the type of paint they use sure they can use house of kolors candy paint which is top notch but if they dont primer prep resand its still gonna come straight off if you peel graphics off so it was just the ppl that did the job and another thing usually when insurance companies recommend a place its cuz the have some kind of deal with the place i know cuz my parents own a shop and have a deal with 2 ins companies so that sumthing for you all to keep in mind and also sorry to hear that bro

110 for just the handles and mirrors? damn that sux. i got quoted 100 for my door handles, mirrors and center tailight piece from the bodyshop that did my front bumper. then again, my dad is friends with a guy who knows the shop owner. back on topic, that really sucks about your paint. i was looking forward to seeing it clean. good luck with whatever you decide to do.

youve only had the paint for a year, and the graphics for how long? Maybe you should have let the paint cure longer before you put on the grapgix. Sucks though.

he didnt' seem terribly confident in his abilities to paint the parts without it looking like ass... perhaps thats why... We'll see on tues or weds i guess... heh

meh im retarded, i just reread what i wrote. The graphics have been on for three years and the car was painted about4 months prior to installing the graphics. The car was baked and allowed to cure before i even washed the thing. Im keeping the graphics off and im saving up for the paint job. It might take a month to save the money and all but its worth it in the long run. I'll have pictures up today of the damage and removed graphics.
