#66722, "Need a new hood....suggestions??"

Someone backed into mine with a truck or suv and dented/scratched the corner right below the hump =( The price is just below my deductable ($500) so I figure why not upgrade! =)

Here's the thing, 1) I want a CF hood, and the car's black, so that works out.

2) I want venting and/or scooping and I want it to be functionable, not just looking neat. I know some of these hood create a scoop that just acts as an air dam and has no functionable purpose. I'm a big highway driver and need something that would benefit from 100 mph avg.

www.alamomotorsports.com has the VS and the XT for under $500. I like the VS, but if anyone has any installed pics to refresh my memory that'd be cool. The XT I dunno if I've seen before, so that'd also be cool to see some installed pics.

Thanks for the help guys =P

I think a lot of them won't fit your car since it's factory turbo. LIke the intimidator hood is good cuz it is a heat extractor hood. But being factory turbo the scoop goes down into where your shit is mounted and won't close.

I think the predator hood might fit you, but I think they're ugly.

Corbin has a writeup on his homepage for making a functinal hood scope (he's done it on his car).

There is someone selling a stock hood in the buy/sell forum for dirt cheap.
