Hey guys- can you change the interior lighting (dash) instrument cluster colors just by inserting colored bulbs or is it more complex???

2003 VW GTI 1.8t.. I used to have a 95 Eclipse but well...water sucks.

no you cant just change the bulbs on the guages. the orange crap is on the back of the guage faces. you can use some fine sand paper and carefully sand that crap off and then paint it with transparent paint. i think the hvac controlls just have an orange condom on the bulb tho. the trouble is that its very hard to get to the bulbs.
