Okay guys, I have contacted www.speedhut.com who makes kickass gauges for our cars. Here is what mine looks like with importintelligence needles

I have asked them if they can make a Reverse El-Glo white HVAC overlay with their indiglo backing. They have given me instructions to start a group buy and I need 25 people who are interested. This HVAC would look sweet with their gauges. I am going to ask them about getting the HVAC overlay in different colors, both for the face and for the pictures (heat, fan speed, direction images).

I'm going to write and ask about pricing too, but for now how many of you would be interested based on idea alone...please sign the list below.

I don't have pics of them yet. They haven't been created yet. They should look identical to the speedhut gauges, but for the HVAC. The picture I have up is of my speed/tach gauges. This is not a finalized list, I just want to find out how interested everybody is..

im in if the price is resonable-30 bucks, and if they look like revers glow gauges b/c i allready have the standard ones that are just one solid color and it is more of a greenish blue. So i would want something that would go good with my gauges, like a pur blue or blue with some red accents or osmething.

this is my current set-up:

Uh no, I am looking to get 25 names to see if this is worth it, while I'm waiting on e-mails from speedhut about face color options, text, lighting, pricing, and whatnot. If I can't get 25 names on this list I'm not going to waste my time negotiating with these guys if there is no chance of getting 25 people to pay for them.

Ummmmm, not to sound mean, but reverse indiglow would mean that the backrounf glows blue, so wouldnt be easier just to do the led mod? Come on guys, regular indglo is ok, but reverse is just the LED mod. The LED matches my indiglo needles and reverse gauges

the thing is though that this would have a white/silver/whatever background, whereas with the LED mod the background is still black like stock. not to mention that the indiglo would probably look alot better and light up alot more uniform than a single led bulb.

the led mod works ok.. but to be honest its really not bright enough, so im thinking this reverse indiglo replacements would definately clear up the brightness and clarity.. but non the less this is a cool idea.

Make sure they include the switch that selects wether the air comes from inside or outside the car also. Most HVAC overlays do not include that switch, and they look ugly becuase that one part is still black. Anyone else's opinions?

Why can't you just do the LED converstion? If you want a different color face, just go to www.alloverlays.com They sell different ones for our cars. I had bought a silver overlay for my HVAC to match my autometer ultralight gauges.

Speedhut's arent overlays though. The are complete replacements and the face is white and the icons arent cut out so you can see the stock white icons behind them. The icons are blue and they actually light up, there arent bulbs behind them. Easy f ro us lazy non wanting to wire in LED folks.

hell yeah I'm in.
I didn't want to do the LED mod because it's not a uniform illumination and the red for heat practically goes away.

there was just an updated post not too long ago (like a couple of days), you dont need to be on the list anymore. once they're made they'll be available on speedhut's website for ~28$. i'm sure he'll keep us posted on the availability.
