Hey all, I'm new to this board and am looking for some dash repair advice. I have sun-damage on the dash, in that, the dash is lifting up about 1/4" directly in front of the defrost vents (on the left side) I can see the yellowish padding under the dash because it's lifted up so far... Has anyone had that problem or know how to patch it up? It's pretty ugly now and it's the only blemish on my interior...

Thanks... but in case you misunderstood... I need to actually PUSH DOWN the dash so it is even with the vent again... Will this "trim detailer" work to do that? Is it some sort of adhesive?

Sorry for the bad desc... I'll try to get a pic of it and post it, but it might be a bit since my friend with the digital camera is gone for the week...

To try to clear things up in the mean time... look at the front vent on the dash (near the windshield). Ok, at the seam between the vent and the dash... the vent is staying level, but part of the dash in front of the vent is curling up so I can see the padding underneath. I can push the dash and padding back down, but it pops right back up again...

Hope that helps better, if not, I'll try to get a pic posted soon...

Thanks for all your guys help! If I can get this fixed relatively easily, my interior will be mint and ready for some tight stylin'

Caio!

IF you can push it down without it cracking try someting like this.

1) Get some thing that will hold it in place when you push it down.

2) Get some 3M spray glue or something along those lines. Hopefully you can find one with a straw tip like on the WD-40 cans.

3) Spray the glue under and inbetween the yellow padding and dash.

4) Push it down and put whatever you found to hold it down in place and let it sit over night.

5) this is just an idea, I havn't tried it...............

Good Luck
