I did the same thing you are thinking about. Shaved the doors and put poppers in and installed a spal kit in the doors. SPAL kits are really easy to install thanks to their directions and they work excellent. Since the remote on the door poppers has several auxilary channels I have a window roll up module hooked up to an auxilary channel and when i press a button the windows roll all the way up. Let me know if you have any questions.

For some reason w/ my SPAL window kit, the passenger side window rolls up and down slower than the driver's side. Anyone else have that problem? I'm thinking it could be a weak motor.
