I searched, but I still need help. The hood will only latch so that the "safety latch" latches. It won't go all the way down to the main latch. I tried turning the rubber stopper things, so the hood would go down further, with no luck. Not to mention the hood sat below the fenders at that point. It seems like I need to mount the latch higher up. Has anyone done this? I can't even get to the latch to try it, how do I get through all the metal and plastic that is in front of it?

here's what i did...

took off the front bumper. removed support bar. got access to the latching device. drilled new holes in the latch assembly so that the latch would sit higher up...enabling the hood to latch completely.

or you could do what i did with my dad.... smash the shit outta it with a hamme runtil it works. hehehe

i got my car with a smashed hood and some problems. And the hood ended up bending my latch and shit, so i had to beat the piss outta it for it to latch properly. heheh
