its tougher to lay then fiberglass...harder to cut...and you have to make sure the layers match up on multi layer applications...anyone that knows how to lay glass is sure to able to do cf with a lil thought IMO...not that i can do either...yet, this is all from what i have read.

Carbon fiber is ALOT different than FG. I've used both and trust me, CF is alot harder to work with and can't be fixed like FG by using filler etc.. I wouldn't try to laminate your doors, unless you have worked with CF alot, you're most likely going to make alot of mistakes, costing you alot of money. Laminating parts is actually harder IMO than making the actual piece from a mold. When you laminate the doors, you need to make sure everything is SMOOTH and EVEN, because you can see any flaws, ripples whatever. It takes a long time, and alot of practice to be able to laminate a pice and have it come out good. If you REALLY want to try it, i'll give you a write up and a good site to buy the material. Just warning you, it'll be cheaper to buy new door panels in the long run.

^^^Agreed.
You are crazy to try and CF laminate your doors if you have never worked with CF. When I 1st started working with it I just started by making sheets... flat square sheets. To get an idea of how it lays and stuff. Its not easy to work with. Even at this point I dont think i would try and do a CF laminate on a door. Plus the materials are expensive so mistakes will cost you a fortune. Good luck,
