Well i got a set of DAD seats for my B-day and was anxious to install them. They came with a set of sliders but no brackets to mount them. I started figuring out the best way to either make new brackets or take the ones off my stockers and use those. While taking some measurements and some head scratching i realized that i really did not feel confident in the DAD seats. The way they were designed, the fabric they used, and the comfiness were all great, but what i didnt like was the sliders or the seat hinges. The sliders that came with the DADs seemed cheap and only locked forward/rear movement on one slider. OEM seats lock both sliders. The second thing i didnt like was the way the DAD seats hinged the top and bottom portion. There was a recline hinge same as OEM but it didnt look as sturdy. OEM seats have a beefer recline hinge and on the other side of the seat they have some sort of hinge that prevents seat collapse due to a rear impact.
I didnt feel safe putting the DADS in using my stock brackets so i installed them using the OEM seat frames.
I removed the bottom and top portion of the OEM drivers seat.

I had to redrill 2 holes and make 2 brackets to mount the DAD bottom on the OEM frame.
The bottom portion wasnt that difficult. The hardest part was mounting the top portion to the OEM frame. The recline hinge holes did not line up and DAD top portion is skinnier than the OEM top portion. I had to make adaptor plates to mount the OEM frame to the DAD seat top.

Overall i really like the way turned out. It took me almost 2 days to install these but, most of that was making the adaptor plates, measuring, test fitting. Luckily my GFs dad has lots of tools that i could use. They are a little taller than the OEM seats but, i am short so it doesnt make that big of a difference. I have more pics of the finished product on a different camera so if anyone wants them it may take a few days to get them. I can also post pics of how i made the adaptor plates if anyone wants to see them

I'll be god damned! Thats really nice. i scrathed my head for over a week tryin to figure something like that out with my DAD seats , and couldn't do it!! i just made my own brackets!

You should paint the factory grey trim to black. It would make a world of diffrence IMO. That grey really draws my attention away from the seat, though it may not matter when they are installed. I dunno, just my observation...

No i thought of that when i finished with them. I was talking with Uber about it and we wondered if paint would last on there or would it get worn off due to foot traffic.

Not too high. I have the steering wheel all the way up and the lumbar adjust all the way down. My thigh rubs on the steering wheel when i get in and out. It isnt that bad i usually slide the seat back when i get out anyways.
