alright, i recently picked up these sparco grip pedals (see link for pic) http://www.autosportz.com/accessories_pedals_sparco_grip.htm and as you can see from the pic, the screws for the pedals to attach to the stock pedals are in the center, well the lever on the stock pedals goes is there, and i don't think i should be drilling through that, plus it's too thick, so only one screw fits outta the 2 for each pedal...does anyone have these or know how to instlal them properly? am i just gonna have to live w/ one screw? and the instructions sent w/ them were pure shit, not even in english either.

can ya off set them to one side maybe? that way the lever wouldn't interfere... if the pedals are big enough they should still cover the backing plate even if you move them to the side a bit. anyways, good luck. drilling holes in the pedals is a major PITA. mine were custom made for the eclipse though, so the holes were right where they needed to be...

oh ya, is your stock accelerator pedal plastic or metal? just wonderin b/c there seems to be two different pedals that people have... if it's plastics you can just use a screw instead of a nut and bolt to attach it. it makes it much easier.

i don't think offsetting the pedals would work, even though that's a good idea, cuase theyre just big enough to fit, and offsetting them would probably look really tacky...and my pedals are plastic, but i thought of them as being more rubber like. and also, whoever designed htese pedals for sparco, clearly was on crack

i would think it'd look alright if you offset them.. you took off the pedal covers already, right? so it's just the metal piece attached to the lever. those are pretty small and shouldn't really show through the pedal so you wouldn't notice they're moved to the side a little. with my pedals you can't really even see the stock ones behind them.

but yea, actually be glad you've got pedals that you hafta drills holes for b/c i heard the universal ones w/ the clamps on the back suck pretty bad. it's a PITA drilling holes but they end up mounting really solid and there no bulky bracket on the back of the pedal to get stuck on stuff.

hehe, no, i'm a complete noob and didn't remove the covers to the brake and clutch pedals first...i went out and did that, and it doesn't make much of a difference though, and my gas pedal is plastic and not medal. these pedals are still a PITA to figure out...oh well.
