I need a windshield for my car and I wanted to see what you guys paid for it. A rock came up and cracked it. I am turning it into the insurance but I want to know if you guys paid out of your pocket.

George, do NOT let your insurance pay for it. They'll rip you off crazy. My dad got his done from this junkyard near my house, it only cost him $175 installed. If you'd like I can call and see if they have an eclipse windshield in stock. LMK on aim

ive actually got some quotes on this because we need one for my girlfriends car....junkyards want about 100 or so...and shops usually ask around 80 to install one, but dont gurantee it.... i have found one that will install a brand new one with a warranty for only 200...i think thats the safest route

I like Massachusetts insurance, at least for the glass coverage. No deductable and no increase in premiums to get glass. The glass companies even come to you to install it, either at home or at work, and they do the paperwork. Moral of the story: move to Massachusetts for a month, get an insurance policy here, get glass, and move back.
