I saw on ebay a couple weeks ago a set of blue HVAC lights to replace the orange ones. Was this a bunch of crap or do they make these because I havent seen them anywhere since then and I really want a set. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Go to radio shack and purchase a 5mm Blue LED. It costs $4. ALso buy a pack of 470ohm resistors, those cost about a buck.

Go home, open take the LED in hand - it has two leads coming off of it. One positive one negative. Take some wire and extend each lead about 4 inches, however one one side put a resistor inline between the wire and that lead.

Take off your center vent panel (it pops out). Remove the from HVAC plastic trim (Also pops out). Then, reach down through the 'vent hole' and you will need to slide the A/C button out. It is a long 'cylinder' with a tab on top of it. Press the tab down and slide the cylinder towards you, the a/c button cylinder will slide out. Now you can access the bulbs which lights up the HVAC. It twists out and is sort of a bitch, you may need some small pliars. Turn it and remove it. After the bulb is out of the 'socket' follow the wires, they connect to a harness where it 'snaps' together. Unsnap that section so you can completely remove the bulbs with wires coming from it.

Snip the bulb off and replace it with your LED bulb you wired up previously. Re click the harness, and insert the LED into the hole. I used tape to keep it in place. If it doesnt light up, reverse the wires you connected.

Thats it. Sounds harder than it really is.

or you can buy a pack of VARAD Led's (4 for about $15 or so) which include the resistor already mounted on a miniature circuit board. i used those on my HVAC and the plug in #74 led bulbs for my gauge cluster. the VARAD led's cost about teh same as if you went with radioshack but having the resistors already attached makes things a bunch easier. plus you'll probably need more than one since you'll prolly wanna do your other buttons to match the HVAC.
