#63422, "Tenzo-R Rally seats, Is this a good deal?"

I found some Tenzo-R Rally seats on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33701&item=2447737705

I emailed the guy and found out that I can get both seats, sliders and brackets made to put those seats in our car for $570 shipped. Is this a pretty good deal? Are these decent and comfortable seats? I am about 200lbs and 5'10". I would appreciate everyones input and if you have these or any other aftermarket seats in your car please post pics and advice.

There is a ricer mag out right now....Super Street, or sumthin...They have a whole run down on all teh seats out now, they sat in all of em and everything. I would get it, Tenzo's seemed to be decent if i remember correctly. And $570 shipped completely ready for install sounds like a damn good deal to me.

Yeah, I have read the article. It is Sport Compact Car Magazine, it is described as a decent seat. Looks like a decent fitting seat.

Anyone else's opinions?

I have them in my eclipse. They are very nice seats imo. They are a little hard to vacuum and clean, but if you take good care of your car that should be no problem. The plastic pieces in the head-rest area where the harness straps are supposed to go through are a little cheap. One of mine has fallen out of place - but I just popped it back in. Also, the lever to recline the seat is made of plastic and is kind of cheap looking imo but seems to be holding up.

As for comfort, they are quite comfortable for daily driving for me. I am 6'1 and 180 lbs. My frnd is 6'2 and about 230ish and he says he doesn't mind riding shotgun. They will keep the fat chicks away though because if you have an extra wide load, they're going to be uncomfortable. They don't offer much in the way of lower lumbar support, so long car trips will sometimes stiffen your back - but this was just as bad when I had my stock RS cloth seats.

They will also raise you about 1-2 inches in seating height compared to stock seats. Installation is very simple w/ brackets and sliders. I believe I paid something like $630 shipped for mine a year ago.

I bought them, now I can't wait to get them here. Please post some pics of your seats installed in your car. What color are they? I got the all black ones. I have pretty wide shoulders, but I think I will have enough room. Any mod that will keep fat chicks away is a good mod imo. hehehehe

I have them, but i only paid 200.00$ for the seats and sliders/brackets. There was a going out of business sale at some performance shop near meand i happened to get there at the right time.

I've heard rumors of them fading, and mine to this day are still in mint shape and still holding its soild black color. Just make sure your windows are tinted.

$200.00, jeez!! You stole those suckers, I would have bought a few pairs of them at that cost and passed the savings onto other board members. Mine are going to be solid black as well, and I have very dark tinting on the windows. I know my tint isn't legal, but it sure looks nice. Please post some pics and install tips. I don't think that they are going to be too hard to install, but we will find out.
