#63021, "97 bumper not fitting a 96?"

well i finally recieved my 97-99 bumper and it looks great (not painted yet tho =\) so i tried to put it on. well that was a PITA. i spent all day getting to the bolts and breaking bolts out =P but i got it off and put the new one on. well it didnt fit. where it lays on the headlights it wont line up i only got 2 bolts in the top part and nothing else will line up. am i doing something wrong or do i have to really push it around to get it to fit because ive always heard it will fit it will just gap over the headlight a little. well mine doenst fit. its on with 2 bolts holding it on now its snowing so im kinda stuck with it on there for a couple of days. i ordered 97-99 projectors last night, that will fix my problem if nothing else correct? and do i really need all the bolts or can i skimp on some? like in the middle underneath of the bumper, the plastic screw in things broke off. i know for sure the bottom bolt on the headlight isnt going back in.

yeah, the projectors should solve the problem. no way will it fit with 95-96 headlights.*

*unless your car is real messed up from a previous wreck or something, then it could be more than the headlights, but I doubt it.

i skimped on some bolts when i put my bumper back on. the ones that are like under the headlights I left out, and some other hard to reach ones.

You can put a 97 style bumper on a 96, my friend did it and she's a girl emoji, just bolted straight over! It will just overlap part of the headlights (which have a new style 97-99), but untill you can get some new ones then you'll be fine.

damn, i didnt think it would work with them. they are longer then the 97 headlights. oh well, either way it probabaly will look kind of strange.
