I have a Talon low wing I want to install (maybe). I don't want to install the rear wiper since I apparently don't have the wiring harness for it. What would be the best way to fill that triangular recess where the wiper motor comes through the wing? I'd like to fill it up flush with the surface of the wing. I know I could put some fiberglass across it and sand it smooth or whatever, but wouldn't I need to put something in to fill it up first? And if so, what? The hole is about 2" deep in some areas.

Weld a piece of metal underneath the decklid where the hole is, then use body filler to level it out, spread the filler, wait for it to dry, sand it smooth, paint.

I don't have the wing now. Never have had a wing. I want to fill the recessed area on the wing itself. If you look at one of them, you can see a triangular cut out where the wiper motor and arm come through the wing. I don't want the wiper. I'm curious if it would be worth it to just fill the wing there and with what.

I think I wound rough up the inside of the hole really good or even drill some holes inside it and fill it with epoxy and sand it smooth.

'98 Talon...gone, but not forgotten

As long as the hole isnt to big just fiberglass it and sand it down.When one of my friends chiped a big chunk out of his gs wing we fiberglassed it and it turned out great.

Really! I would just be concerned about it getting brittle and cracking or something.

Now here's an idea! What if I could make it have a little hatch that would open like entertainment center doors (little magnet with the spring loaded action), then just cover it. I could put my keys in there and no one would even notice it! (Not saying I would do that all the time, but it's a cool idea though!
