#62365, "Replacing driver side window"

Someone broke my drivers window so I had a new one put in. The problem is that the person that put the new one in has the glass leaning way too far in. When I close the door I hear the glass hitting the rubber seal and hear cracking. Also there in like a 3/4" gap inbetween the window and the rubber seal on the outside of the car. Someone could reach in and pull the bar that controls the lock. How do I fix it? Does the metal come off on the inside? I can't see how the person that replaced it even got to the part that the window bolts to. Plus I need to vacuum it out, I hear glass moving around in there.

that sucks!

ive only replaced a window in a honda, but the process should be close to the same. remove the door panel and look through all of he acces holes for bolts going through the glass. you might have to move the window up and down a bit to see all of the bolts. oh BTW, put some old rags in the bottom of the door just incase the window slips. after loosening the bolts you should be able to adjust the window so its back in the track.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

if you take the door panel off there are two bolts near the top of the door that adjust the window up and down (hard to describe but you'll see). I dont know how to adjust in and out. if you figure it out let me know because mine needs adjusted in a bit.

Well I looked it over and after the door panel is off, I still don't have access to all the bolts. The metal skin has to come apart, that is the only way.

Hate to bring up an old thread, but has anyone been able to fix this? My car was broken into, and well they pulled back the window, reached in and unlocked it and now I have that gap between the weather stripping and my window, and its so lose. Iv searched so many times, tried so many things, (bolts, adjustment, window rattle fix) I cant figure this out...anyone, PLEASE!
