I am looking to remove the sunroof from a junked Eclipse and put it in my 95. For anyone who has worked on their sunroof, what are the parts I will need. It seems to me that if I get in there and start removing pieces, I will get everything just by following wires and stuff but it would be nice to know exactly what i'm looking for. Any input on the difficulty of doing this job would help. Do you guys think it would be a PITA? I want to go with the stock sunroof cause my car is old and I don't see spending a few hundred to get it. If I can do the job myself, that is the only way a sunroof will be going into my ride. Should my 95 have all the wires for the sunroof motor and for the rear view mirror w/lights??? By the way, I have done numerous searches, and used the CAPS pages, so i've done some homework.

Man, that's a tough dilemma...from your description, it sounds like you have an RS? The only way I think you can find out for sure if you are wired for the motor and rvm lights is to remove the headliner. This sounds like a lot of work. The only major problem I could see in doing this is having trouble with rattles. Alot of the guys on this board (including me!) have rattling problems with our stock sunroof. The only parts I could think of right off the top of my head would be the glass, 2 rails, motor, power switch, torx screws, and the actual frame that would mount to the roof. I'll check my repair manual and see if there's anything listed. Good luck!!

Yeah, that sounds like quite the job. My sunroof rattles like a sumbitch. I almost wish I didn't have one.

Thanks for the reply guys. Actually I have a 95 GS. There goes the myth that only RS Eclipse's came without sunroofs. I have the Chilton manual, but it gives no explanation of the sunroof configuration. If I drop the headliner, what exactly would I be looking for? Thanks again, and any more info would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't had to drop my liner, but I would imagine you would find some sort of small harness/connector right above your RVM (the wires should run along the driver-side pillar). The motor/switch is located there on cars equipped with the sunroof. I also looked in my manual, and couldn't find info.
