i posted this in the 4g63 section but i aint gettin no help there.
on my 1g, the foglight switch is busted. i did the foglight switch mod on vfaq. i also did the running lights with foglights mod. it involved cutting the power wire and splicing it to the rheostat wire. now, i noticed that my driver headlight does not come on and my foglight and pop up light switch dont illuminate when the running lights are on. does anyone know if these two things are related somehow? i dont think the bulb just blew because i havent been driving the car. thanks!

OK, I have no idea about the mod. Generally what I would do when I get funny wiring probs from other customers, I hook it up the right way and double check that everything works first. So start by rewiring it back to stock and making sure that the pop up light works and all the buttons illuminate. Also double check that you ARE spicing the right wires and easy dumb shit that could be otherwise looked over. Toss a new fuse for that circut too.

thanks, i was going to try that but i wanted to get some kind of info before i undo it as i will have to splice in some extra wire and stuff. anyone else have any ideas?

umm... i did that mod on my 1g back in the day. 4 years go. perhaps put it back to normal and start over to test everything?
