Ok, heres the story. I bought a bomex kit (real one), and hired a guy to paint my car and fit the kit. The body work he did was ok. But he messed the paint up really bad. This guy painted a lot of cars before, i still don't know how he messed up so bad. He has disappeared since the car was painted. I am taking him to court at the end of this month to try to get some money out of him. I was wondering if the kit can be sanded down and repainted or does it have to be scrapped and i have to buy another one??? Does anyone know a legit body shop in Cali that could help me fix this car, so can get it right again? If anyone could help me out with some advice that would be great!

Hes bad, the car needs to be sanded down to the metal, and the kit needs to be sanded down to the fiber glass. Is that possible to sand the kit down to the fiberglass without losing the body lines??

what do you mean sanded down to bare metal i dont think he did that so all you would have to do is sand down the coat that he applied and as far as the bumper you can sand it all the way down to the fiberglass without damaging it. but if your gonna paint the bumper you need to add a flex additive

I'm betting the guy screwed up the prep work and the paint is showing all the imperfections. A picture would really help ID your problem. In most cases painting flaws may only need light sanding, blending (applying paint to an isolated spot), and re-clearing.

I have the pics i just don't know how to post them. It is definately prep work and paint though. There are runs and drip marks, the paint is turning white, and it is all chipping off on me. The paint was suppost to be balck with a blue pearl, but it turned out to be blue with black spots. I have never seen a paint job this bad, trust me, If someone coudl show me how to post pics, or i can e mail them to someone so they co uld post them, that would be Great!!!!!
