Ok, here goes,

I'm one of the poor saps that bought a '97 Talon, and realized afterward that all the good aftermarket headlights are for the later model eclipses. What I was wondering is if I can just get a 97-99 eclipse bumper to make the front-end compatable with the newer shape headlights. Thanks.

The Talon was just one in a looooong string of cars. I do miss it.

Yes, a 97-99 Eclipse bumper will bolt right up. The only reason I haven't switched over is because there are not as many Talons and I have to represent. emoji

yep

search the site and type "97-99 coversion" and there will be threads for this. its easy, all you got to do is buy the bumper and headlights.

TONS and i mean TONS of talons on here have done the conversion cause they like the front end and need the 97-99 headlight to make the package complete.

If you mean the one with "teeth" on the bottom section, I think its from a 97/98 Tsi. It's been a bit scraped up and rock-chipped, but there are no cracks, and the license plate holes are hardly noticeable. I might be selling it in a couple months if you know anybody that is interested.

I'll post a picture when I get the chance.

Of course, you could paint the headlights you have now, save a couple hundred bucks and still turn heads. emoji

I had entertained that idea of painting them, but the ever-kind previous owner did me the favor of hitting something a while back and cracked both headlight housings at the mounting tabs, so thats my motivation for replacing the lights/bumper. If I could find a second-hand set of non-broken lights for a reasonable price, I might just get my original bumper re-painted and paint the lights myself. If anyone has a line on a set of used lights, let me know.

I'm selling my headlights that have a black painted housing, they look exactly like dr1665's lights. Just e-mail me if you are interested at shadymilkman_number1@hotmail.com

Nice pic dr1665, i like the newer talon front w/ those lights.
