i have a friend that has a 99 SI and he just got these new headlights, but there was something intresting about it. here are his stock ones:

and here is the one he just bought. notice that lil chrome plastic piece directly covering the headlight isn't there on his new headlights. that drasticlly increased the brightness of this lights by like 4-5 times. i still still able to aim and adjust his lights just like a stock light houseing. my question is, if i do that to mine, will i be able to ajust it and everything just like normmal? what im afraid of is that they beam of light will be out of control and i can't contain it. wondering if anyone has ever done this b4. please let me know if this mod will still work.

I had the Super White lights on my Hyundai and I did that so the hole housing reflected the blue color. I never adjusted them cause since they were Super White or whatever, they lit up everything and I could see great. If you going to do it, you will probably have to take them out to do it. I really don't think its worth it unless you have something like Super Whites cause the 2g factory lights do extremelly well imo. But if you want to, there should only be 1 screw holding that piece in place, but have fun trying to put it back in. I never could get mine so I just left it out.

the reason i am thinking about doing it too is cuz i drilled into my headlights b4 for my strobes (which turned out so good), but it left plastic dust inside my headlight housing and its annoying the crap out of me, so im basically opening up the headlight to get that dust out, and thought mind as well try this too. hopefully it won't be too out of control.

i guess we all have different opinions, but I think headlight mods should only be done on headlights.

i did this trick rite here

http://www.auburn.edu/%7efauchpj/frames.htm

oh man, it came off like butter. and i did the exact same thing (melt the glue) to seal it back up, that was a perfect success too.
