#60819, "Carbon fibre hood"

Who makes a direct fitting stock looking carbon fibre hood for us? Do I have to install hood pins with it? Is there one that does not need the hood pins? Need a little help here fellas.

Brynden

www.Visracing.com makes an OEM style hood for our car. I think you NEED hood pins but some guys don't. Then their new hood flys off. I'll put pins in mine when it's here.

go to www.improvmotorsports.com to get your hood. They just lowered their prices on all of their hoods and lowered the price of shipping so definitely go with them. Visracing is probably the best way to go. DEFINITELY get hood pins, a buddy of mines literally broke off of the car and nailed a car right behind him if you can imagine that. Itll stay on for awhile, it just depends on your driving style. It may fly off, it may not. but as said before, its better be safe than sorry emoji

personally I think it depends on the front you got. I have a friend with the OEM front, and the hood fits better, and his cf hood without pins has never came close to flying off. But with my blizt front there is a bigger space between the front bumper and the front of the hood. I am thinking you would be fins without hood pins, but like the rest said, better safe than sorry.

My negative point rating = you owned.

You can get VIS hoods on eBay also. Here is one for $337 with $150 shipping, so basically $490 shipped.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6755&item=2437477020

There is also an Invader hood on there, $30 more.

The jun actually looks good, it's a bit too different for most though...I kinda like the evo hood..just the squared vents up there on the front dont look that appealing on an eclipse...and I wish Vis would change those odd projectors and choose a different bumper to advertise with..that skyline one with those projectors changes the way the front of the 2G looks wayyy too much

I don't know what has been said before cause I am too lazy to read it. Anyway, vis said that they will sell their OEM hood for 500 shipped. I don't know if thats the regular price or what, but yea... good luck.
