I know quetions similiar to this have been asked before but I have read the posts and have not found the ansewer I have been looking for. My driver side door needs to be replaced, I have 95 rs w/o power windows or locks. The local junkyard has an rs with power windows and locks, and I am not sure if I could use those doors because I dont have the power option. Now my girlfriends sister has a 98 avenger that is identical to the eclipse rs as far as interior and engine but has power everything (door panels are different). I even have the same fuse boxes with all the same fuses including the power window fuse. All I need to know is can I install two new doors with power windows and locks in repace of mine. Also that rubber piece that connects to the door from the car has wires in it in the avenger and so does my rs, does that meen anything. I would appricate any help. Thank you

I would think your doors have the wires already run for power windows/locks. Feel that rubber hose near the door hinge and try to tell if there are any wires in it. Once you tear the door apart, you'll know for sure. I have a 98 GS without power seats, but the wires are there (secretly laughing at me, I'm sure). I guess maybe Mitsu runs all the accessory wires on all their cars to make it easier to produce cars that are special ordered from the dealer. Good luck!!

don't jsut make sure there are wires there, make sure there are the wires you need. the harness plug thingy under the rubber boot on my RS is there and has wires. but guess what? it's just the speaker wires. the extra pins are there for locks and windows but no wires. no wires on the car side either coming down inside under the dash. only the two speaker wires.

i've added aftermarket power windows and locks btw. i kept my rs doors and skins though and mounted switches elsewhere. lots've people have gone this route with great results. i don't really know of anyone that was able to make the door swap thing work... either that or people did aftermarket locks/windows and tried to integrate stock door skins (with switches)
