Ok...if you are going to paint the rest of the car black. Logically if you look at it, You are going to be spending an estimated 150 dollars if not more on paint and supplies. Not to mention if you have it done for you, labor fee. Lets say you can paint alright (Black is the hardest solid color to paint IMO). So I would say save your 150 and get a CF hood when you get the rest of the funds.

considering the cost of what it would be for you to paint it black, assuming you don't do it yourself...would be close to what a cf hood would cost, excluding shipping.

My negative point rating = you owned.

just buy some of that carbon fiber sheeting stuff so you can stick it on top of your stock hood. then it will look like carbon fiber and you won't hafta buy hoodpins b/c it will still be heavy.

Are you being serious? Sweet sassy lord I hope not.

I am more into the weight reduction as opposed to the look. I am sure most chicks would be all like, "wtf why is that hood black?"

If you are going to have a black hood, at least make it carbon fiber, because anyone who knows what a cf hood is, will know it is bogus with the cf vinyl(which would be a whore times 6 to put on a hood). But I still have to say go with a CF, same basic color, plus a lighter car.

You can find ViS CF hoods brand new for like 318 + 125 shipping on e-bay.

I agree with everyone else. DONT GO RICE! Painting your hood black is the ghetto and cheap way. You get what you pay for... dont forget that! emoji

Everyone says I need to drop the car on it's balls...
I turn and say, "She dosnt have balls, she has a clit."

but it IS weight reduction b/c you're saving weight by not having to install hoodpins.

LMAO!! Carbon Primer = emoji

You could get a cheap cf hood for what it will cost in paint + labor. And put the cf on yourself. And always remember "don't be a honda".
