And the two most important pics emoji

Its a 95 TSI AWD w/ 80k for $5200 all it needs is a new clutch and front bumper and since its my friend selling it to me, he is gonna put in a ACT 2600 and a new bumper and he is even going to put a 14b on it instead of the t-25 at no extra cost emoji I cant wait until its ready. The previous owner got a little too close to the curb while parking and when he backed up......well Im sure you can figure out the rest. What do ya guys think

thanks guys emoji emoji

The only thing about it is that now I feel like a noob all over again, lol. I really dont know much about the 4G63 so Im trying to learn as much as possible. From what Ive seen though, with the 14b intake, exhaust and clutch I should be deep in the 14s, which is a hell of a lot faster than I was in the RS.

with awd you should bi in the high 13's. how many miles does it have on it? it looks like a piece for $5200 but if you friend is puttin that stuff on it, its not so bad. hey wait, couldnt you pull the bumpers off your rs and put them on the tsi? and put the tsi bumpers on the rs so the insurance company doenst even notice? isnt that the same color as you old rs? that shit will look good with your black wheels and such. emoji

oh yeah and i love that big speaker for the aftermarket alarm

What the hell do you mean it looks like a piece? lol, it only has 80,000 miles on it, and the BB value for the car is around 6200, so its a hell of a deal. It has power everything, the 60k maintenance has been done and besides its coming from someone that I trust. Besides the fucked front nothing is wrong with it. But that doesnt matter either since he will be putting a new front end on it before I get it from him. Its dirty as hell and could definitely use a good cleaning, but in all honesty when buying a used car, its better to buy one with a dirty engine bay anyway. That way if something is leaking etc, you can see it. But anyway, no they arent the same color, the RS had more purple in it than this one. Plus the insurance company already has the RS and I let them take the wheels with it. They gave me $1,050 for the wheels and tires and I only paid about 800 total, hehe.

i don't suggest putting a 2600 unless your a 6bolt which you are probably not. stay with the act 2100.....
also get the walbro 255 fuel pump. Boost controller, gauges are a must!!!!!!! egt, boost and oil. Don;t use those bs AF meters get a nice dig display AF meter. The one from apexi with the Turbo timer is nice and not that expensive. any other ?'s feel free to ask. and good luck with it

OK, well here is question one....Why shouldnt a 2600 be put on the car?? I know its a 7-bolt, but its an early build 95 with a 94 engine and I thought those wouldnt walk. I could be wrong of course I am still trying to learn. emoji Would the 2600 suffice until I can replace it later on as long as I dont launch it too hard??

I also ripped my entire A-pillar out of the RS so I have a boost and A/F gauge (the blinky light one emoji ) Also even though it will have a 14b I should still be able to do without the other gauges and fuel pump as long as I dont up the boost right? I was just going to go by the tuning guide on tuners while Im learning. http://www.dsmtuners.com/tuning-guide/2gturbo/stage1power.php
Is that okay? Im really really not trying to ruin the motor before I get to have some real fun with it. Will rewiring it help even at the stock boost levels? Sorry for all the questions man, but you said feel free to ask, lol. TIA

well the rumor is the clutch has some thing to do with crankwalk. also the 2600 is really heavy, i wouldnt reccomend it unless you like a good calf workout. all dsm's can crank walk. it doenst matter what year. hell even a few of the 6bolt motors have crankwalked.

also tell your friend to install a boost controller while he is putting the 14b in there. if you alread have the gauges and mbc i would get a 3inch downpipe and exhaust as your next mods. hell if you have $550 laying around you might as well ask your friend to install a evo3 big 16g turbo. emoji

wahahah oh yeah i sure hope that car hasnt been sitting there like that since april 02. if it has you may want to be sure to change oil and check all belts coolant etc and make sure that a family of mice hasnt made a nest in your exhaust

with a rewired fuel pump and some supporting mods, exhaust etc. you can run about 17-18psi on a 14b. and more boost than that and you wil experience fuel cut. i think 18psi is the limit of the 14b anway

The 14b can boost over 18psi, not efficiently but it can go higher. I found out when my wastegate failed and I spiked over 25psi.

Ok, let me see if I can remember everything I wanted to say, lol.

First off, Ive driven a friend of mine's AWD Talon and it had a 2600 in it. For those that know NC, I drove it all the way from Rockingham to North Raleigh which is about a 2hr drive, about an hr of that is stop and go. By the end of the trip I was used to it and it really didnt feel heavy anymore. When I got back into my car I slammed on the clutch pedal, lol. It took about 30 min to get used to the RS's clutch again.

Edit: I forgot to say that I do know from my experience with my buddies that past a certain boost level every turbo will stop being efficient and just start blowing hot air

unless your going to the strip all the time just get the ACT2100 it is a better daily driving clutch. ACT is much better than centerforce IMO

Sure thing man emoji By the way, what kind of front mount is that??

Well its too late to get another clutch anyway, its already on its way in the car, besides I want to be deep in the 12s eventually and if not 12s def high 11s. I know its going to take work to get it there, but Im not worried about getting a little dirty in the hunt for performance. Around here we are all about going fast, I want to be able to hand my buddy david his ass on the track. He has run a 12.8 in his Dodge Stealth TT and likes to talk shit, lol.
