hi. anyone know how much a drivers side door panel would cost new? or is there any other way to make the switches for the power windows/lock stay. my girl accidentally broke the plastic holes it screws into while i was trying to fix it. she said " but i had an itch" man that pissed me off! there sure are some stupid b**!h's around here. (not speaking about all in case some girls/women read this just around here) somebody able to help me?

I'd say that yer best bet is gonna be to check with a local junk yard for a wrecked 2g. Thats what I did for a door lock actuator and it helped me out a TON. Either that or just tell that girl that if she doesn't find one for you in the next two days, then yer gonna have to take out her knees hehe. Sorry man good luck!

This happened to my 96 GS. The switch box just fell into my door one day. I think the screws stripped the plastic due to old age and cheap plastic door panels. I am fixing mine with some JB Weld. I am going to mount the screws in what is left of the plastic holes and make new ones by coating them with JB Weld. After it is done, that switch box is not going anywhere.

I don't suggest getting them new, I called about the 1 piece POS plastic (non-power window/doorlock doors) and they were $200+. I called several dealers and they were all $200 or more. So for the ones you need, I don't even want to guess at how much they would run.

whoa. that's kind of expensive for something like that. especially considering the quality of them. but i just got back in from TRYING to fix them. i went to the store and got some good plastic cement and put it in what was left of the holes and then put the screws in (they wouldn't tighten up though). i'm going to let it sit overnight and then see how it does, maybe put a litle bit more of it on there if it does alright. hopefully!

Blue1- If worst comes to worst, I can help you out. It's my understanding that the door panel itself is broken right? If it's the door panel and the BUTTON housing is still operational/not broken. I can go to the junk yard I've been going to and get you a new door panel for $100 or less, if you want the button housing too, they've quoted me $50 for that. The door panels I got there were the leather version, if yours are CLOTH then they should be a little cheaper. I won't charge you for anything except shipping if you want to do it this way. If not then no prob, just figured I'd offer.
(the place I go to is called PIT STOP I think (it's PIT something) anyway, they have about 50 2G Eclipses all the time, tons of 1G's and plenty of 3000GT's, Stealths and RX7's. The only thing is they are 50+ miles away from where I live but worth the drive for the quality of the parts, availability (they've got EVERYTHING) and they are pretty friendly)
