Are you familiar with how to just remove it?

You stick a pen in those little plugs on the plastic surround and they will fall right out. Then it's 2-4 bolts to just remove it. I haven't had mine in for over 3 years now and have never heard anything of it from the man. emoji

What about lining the edges that go up against the glass with foam rubber or felt. I've used some foam I got at the arts and craft store to take care of some rattles in other areas

it's called weatherstriping. you can get it at HomeDepot or Lowes or shit like that. Maybe you could get a piece of foam to place in between the deck and the light mounting plate which would isolate it and giv it the distance from the glass you need to make it silenter. emoji

dude, all you have to do is take the plastic off... and using a little bit of muscle (you don't need alot....) just bend the metal bracket up a little bit....it then fits snug..... its all i did emoji
