#5719, "fuel gage, help!"

hey all. need some help. i got a full tank of gas today, already had over 1/4 tank, started it up and instead of the fuel gauge going up like it's suppose to it stays all the way down. how can i fix this? i was thinking maybe a loose wire or something but i don't even know how to get to the wires that come out of that gauge. somebody help me i can't stand anything to be wrong with my car, especially when i just got it back!

Maybe you want to take it back there and find out if anyone was messing around behind the console. As for taking the console out - there are two screws at the top of the trim bezel - you will see it...directly below at the bottom there are two clips (not visible) once you get that out - the rest will be very self explanatory. Good luck - and go slow - if something does not come easily do not force it.

i just got it back from the garage. nah, the work they was doing didn't need to be behind the console. and a gauge can't go bad can it? and is it necessary to take he whole console out to get to it? thanks
