I think some of the aftermarket gauges start showing a redline at 7500, but your stock engine will never make it there!

Bro go by your stock gauges. Dont start shifting at 7500rpms because the indiglo gauges tell you to. If the gauges had a red line at 8k would you try to shift there ? Not trying to be a dick but I hope you see my point.

Haha of course I wouldn't. I dunno though....i guess i was thinking that maybe the gauges were layed out different so that it said 7.5k redline but you were actually shifting at 7k redline...because they were layed out different

Crap I dunno
???
Someone point me towards a place that sells some nice gauges with a 7k redline emoji

actually what happens is that installing indiglo gauges raises your red line. that's why they're marked differently. it allows the engine to hit higher rpm's without damaging it as you would if you were using your stock gauges. many people overlook indiglos gauges as merely an appearance modification when in fact they serve a very valuable performance purpose as well. if you look carefully enough you may find gauges that will raise your redline as high as 8 or 8.5k.

additionally using indiglo gauges made for a GST/GSX allows you to monitor oil and boost. the stock gauges on a RS/GS only monitor engine temperature and fuel. by installing GST/GSX indiglo gauges you not only allow yourself to more accurately monitor your car, but save space by not having to install a pillar pod or additional gauge cluster bezels.
